WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be put on weapons and armor pieces and increase their power. These upgrade items add a number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their costs scaling with their popularity.
The melee PvP scene highly values a perfectly rolled version of the armor for its ability reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
The process of upgrading is an essential part of the crafting process. They can boost the quality of an item, make it stronger or less durable, and even add a bonus effect. They can also alter the appearance of an item. Some upgrades are universal, whereas others are governed by specific rules for armor and weapons. A bad upgrade can destroy an item that is otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.
In general it is possible to upgrade an item of equipment up to the level of its highest-level counterpart. You can only upgrade helms to the highest level. Weapons on the other hand, can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output and could decrease its value in trade.
You can upgrade an item using crests or flightstones. The amount of each is contingent on the item's level and slot. For example, an upgrade to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading a cloak or bracers. There are also discounts on the amount of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item gets filled when it is upgraded. Each step increases Tier level by one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the item it will take a different number of upgrades to reach this level. It is crucial to remember that any procedure that could mount a disk should not be run during the process of upgrading. In addition, you need to ensure that the disk being upgraded is not used as a system disk.
Enchantment allows you to transform white or Common items to blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District is where you can do it. This procedure does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter its size. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. For instance the size of the size of a Stormtrooper armor is Medium, and the Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades which can be applied to any kind of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. Upgrade components are available through Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent and can also be combined with Power-Ups. They can be branching or linear.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that they are extremely unlikely to develop in natural ways. Implants and prostheses are both examples of internal technology. This kind of upgrade is not the same as medical internal technology, which seeks to restore the capabilities of nature. It is rather the beginning of an upgrade process that changes civilizations in a fundamentally different way. The universal upgrade can be an extended and complicated process. However, the process can be divided into two different classes: full success and partial failure.
This is similar to manner that resort upgrades are carried out at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons like rooms being overbooked or not available. In the case Universal, it could be a case of moving guests to another resort that is open. This is not intended to be rude but it can be unavoidable in the current climate.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels which are only applicable to specific kinds of equipment (armor weapons, trinkets or weapons), universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can also be applied to a variety of items at once. They are therefore more adaptable than other types of upgrades. However, this flexibility could create problems when upgrading items in the same gear path because it increases the level of each item in the entire gear path.
Before upgrading, it's important to stop PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. After that you can install the new files by using the Get-ChildItem-Recurse or Unblock-File command. It is recommended to also run a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it functions correctly.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to enhance weapons, armor or accessories. The gems and reagents used to create them provide different stat bonuses as well as secondary effects. They can be found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or karma. Jewels can be made using a jewelry table using five of the same type of reagent and 1 gem to make an item with an upper or lower tier. This process is similar to upgrading a stone on a gemcrafting desk.
Jewel tiers are based on the amount of modifiers they have and higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than those of lower tier. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. Players can make use of luck potions to increase their chances of obtaining more beneficial secondary effects.
Jewels can also be added to objects with sockets that match similar to other upgrade components. For instance Garnet Pebble (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both add strength, however the Garnet Pebble only increases regular hits while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's powerful attacks. Jewels can be put into every level of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as certain trinkets that are rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.

Requirements

The process of upgrading is somewhat complicated, but it's simple. The player selects the item he wishes to upgrade, and then clicks on the Upgrade button. A window will open with the various upgrades available for the item. The window will show the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level will be displayed in the form of a bar that is located at the top of the screen and the bonus type for upgrades is shown below it.
If the player chooses to upgrade the item the item will be brought to the upgrader NPC, who will explain the process of upgrading the item. The player must then supply the correct currency and, if required, additional materials. These requirements are based on the level with weapons generally having stricter requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes come with an acceptable material list as well as the components required. This list outlines what other upgrade components can be used on the item, and also includes a flag that indicates whether the item has a guaranteed boost or additional effect. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item can vary significantly depending on the 'extras' it has, with well rolling gear much more valuable than non-upgraded versions.
